The Accountant (2016 film)

The Accountant is an upcoming 2016 American action thriller film directed by Gavin O'Connor and written by Bill Dubuque. The film stars Ben Affleck, Anna Kendrick, J.K. Simmons, Jon Bernthal, Jeffrey Tambor and John Lithgow. A forensic accountant un-cooks the books for illicit clients. The film is set to be released by Warner Bros. on October 14, 2016.

Chris Wolff is a math savant and accountant with more affinity for numbers than people. Behind the cover of a small-town CPA office, he works as a freelance sleeper assassin for some of the world's most dangerous criminal organizations. With the Treasury Department's CED (Crime Enforcement Division), run by Ray King, starting to close in on him, Christian takes on a legitimate client: a state-of-the-art robotics company where an accounting clerk has discovered a discrepancy involving millions of dollars. But as Christian un-cooks the books and gets closer to the truth, it is the body count that starts to rise.
